Singapore stocks close 0.33 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 9.24 points, or 0.33 percent, to close at 2,850.43.

A total of 1.33 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 735.1 million Singapore dollars (544.8 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 184 to 170, while 553 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 2.83 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 2,841.19 on Monday. Enditem
