Guinea to recruit 4,000 teachers to enhance public service

Xinhua, August 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Guinea's public service ministry on Sunday announced the launch of a program to interview and recruit some 4,000 teachers, an official source said.

The massive recruitment is in line with the government's program to employ more young and female civil servants to improve performance, the source said.

A total of 50,000 candidates had been short-listed for the interview across the country and for posts in different disciplines. Those admitted will immediately be deployed in schools across the country.

Government Spokesman Albert Damantang Camara said the government was committed to increasing the number of civil servants to fill the gap in education, health and environment sectors.

The public service ministry said the government would soon announce more recruitment in police and forestry services. Endit
