Singapore stocks close 0.10 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.83 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 2,841.19.

A total of 1.14 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 644.2 million Singapore dollars (476.6 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 214 to 151, while 542 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 7.04 points, or 0.25 percent, to close at 2,844.02 on Aug. 19. Enditem
