Sydney FC sign Brazilian striker Bobo

Sydney FC announced on Monday that the club has completed the signing of Brazilian striker Deyvison Rogerio da Silva for the new Australian A-League season.

Known as "Bobo", the Brazilian striker was born in Gravata and began his senior football career at Corinthians in 2005, winning the Campeonato Brasileiro in his debut season.

Bobo, 31, represented his country at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands where Brazil finished third.

The Brazilian goalscorer leads the goalscoring charts for the Turkish giants Besiktas, having scored 97 goals in 222 games over five seasons.

Bobo joins the A-League side the Sky Blues from top Brazilian side Gremio.

The A-league 2016/17 season will kick off on Oct. 7. Endit
