British FTSE 100 rises 0.14 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.14 percent, or 9.81 points, to 6868.96 points.

Share price of Antofagasta Holdings increased by 5.25 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Sainsbury, easyJet, Taylor Wimpey and BHP Billiton increased by 3.07 percent, 2.96 percent, 2.81 percent, and 2.77 percent respectively.

British American Tobacco led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.28 percent, followed by Pearson (2.21 percent), Imperial Brands Group (1.66 percent), Royal Bank of Scotland Group (1.58 percent), and Legal & General Group (1.09 percent). Endit
