Spanish stock market falls 1.56 pct, closes at 8,487 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.56 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,487 points, down from the 8,621.70 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 4.38 percent, followed by ACS, ArcelorMittal, Acciona, Banco Santander and Caixabank that lost 3.46 percent, 3.28 percent, 2.62 percent, 2.55 percent and 2.21 percent respectively.

On the other hand, only Bankia shares rose on Wednesday climbing 0.85 percent.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 101.60 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 0.9 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Endit
