Kenya's Conseslus Kipruto set an Olympic record to win the men's 3,000m steeplechase gold at the Rio Games on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old finished in eight minutes 3.28 seconds to shave more than two seconds off the previous record set by his countryman Julius Kariuki at the 1988 Games in Seoul.
