Chinese vice premier vows further pragmatic cooperation with Iran

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang met with Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia on Wednesday, exchanging views on deepening bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

During his visit, Tayyebnia attended the 16th meeting of the China-Iran Joint Economic Committee in Beijing on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wang said the two countries enjoy a long history of friendship, noting their economies are highly complementary and enjoy huge potential for cooperation.

The two sides should enhance mechanisms under the China-Iran Joint Economic Committee and step up pragmatic cooperation in all sectors to push bilateral cooperation to a new high, he said. Endi
