British FTSE 100 rises 0.02 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.02 percent, or 1.31 points, to 6,916.02 points.

Share price of easyJet increased by 3.97 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Marks & Spencer Group, Paddy Power Betfair, Whitbread and Tesco increased by 3.81 percent, 2.84 percent, 2.78 percent, and 2.52 percent respectively.

Antofagasta Holdings led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.38 percent, followed by Rio Tinto (3.21 percent), Anglo American (3.16 percent), Glencore (1.93 percent), and BHP Billiton (1.47 percent). Endit
