Xinhua, August 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Aquabike World Championship "Russian Grand Prix 2016" started Wednesday in Russian Far East city of Vladivostok, with the attendance of 29 teams from Russia, China, Australia and other countries and regions.

The race, the fifth edition of its kind, starts at the city's quay and ends at Russky Island.

The 5-day race covers a total distance of 565 kilometers. Winds and waves make the race more challenging.

"I'm a big fan of aquabike sport. There are not so many women in this kind of sport and men are not taking us seriously, but when they see my skills they change their minds," Olga Antonuk told Xinhua. Enditem
