Weightlifter Deng Wei breaks world records at Rio Olympics

Deng Wei of China broke two world records in the women's 63kg weightlifting to win the gold medal with a total of 262kg at the Rio Olympics here on Tuesday.

Deng jerked 147kg on her second attempts to lift a total of 262kg, breaking the previous world record in jerk and total by one kilo respectively.

Choe Hyo Sim of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea clinched the silver medal at 248kg while Karina Goricheva of Kazakhstan grabbed the bronze at 243kg. Endit
