Beer mania of German capital Berlin peaked on Sunday as hundreds of thousands of visitors visited Berlin's 20th International Beer Festival that boasts more than 2,000 beer specialties.

The event, also known as "the longest beer garden of the world", saw 340 breweries from 87 countries showcase a total of 2,400 beers along a road stretching 2.2 km in the center of Berlin.

Visitors could walk through 22 beer regions with their culinary specialties, while experiencing on 19 stages live music with German and international artists.

Besides German craft beers, a variety of new craft beer specialties from Belgium, Denmark, England, Norway and Poland were also available.

Organizers expected the three-day event to attract a total of 800,000 visitors on Aug. 5-7. Endit
