Duan Yingying wins WTA Jiangxi Open singles

Duan Yingying of China came from one set down to beat Vania King of the United States 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 to win the WTA Jiangxi Open singles title on Sunday.

King had a great start with a 3-0 run and kept her momentum to take the first set 6-1.

Duan became more aggressive later on and kept moving around the court to level the score by winning the second set 6-4.

In the deciding third set, Duan gradually took control and extended her advantage to seal her victory in two hours.

"This is the first time that I advanced to the final of WTA tournament," Duan said, "this title will make me more confident to face the challenges in the future." Endit
