A Dutchman's quirky passion of making dead animals to fly as drones

Drones have brought a lot of fun to people around the world, but Dutch inventor Bart Jansen's idea of fun is unorthodox as he enjoys using drones to send dead animals zooming through the air.

Jansen's most famous project is perhaps the cat drone, which is a stuffed cat with four propellers tied to its paws. Other experiments included a flying ostrich, or the "Ostrichcopter," and the "Sharkjet," a dead shark with yellow fixed wings.

As his next challenge, Jansen aims to airlift a cow into the air. What's more, he hopes the cow drone will be powerful enough to sustain human, so that it could lift himself.

"If I'm going to fly, I want to fly in something weird. So we've been thinking about animals that are big enough to fly in," Jansen said.

To help with the process, Jansen even took taxidermy lessons to preserve the animals.

Jansen's work attracted criticism as well as support, a lot of pet owners have been contacting to see if their own deceased pets are fit to fly, Jansen said. Endi
