Dance festival in Portugal evacuated due to fire at parking lot

Thousands of people at Portugal's Festival Andancas, in Castelo de Vide, around 245 km from Lisbon, had to be evacuated Wednesday due to fire at a parking lot.

The fire begun at around 3 p.m. local time and there has been no reports of injuries but more than 400 cars have been burned, according to media reports.

Over 160 firefighters, supported by 42 vehicles and four aerial means, are on the spot to put down the fire.

The 21st edition of Andancas, an international festival of popular dances, kicked off on Monday. Around 40,000 visitors are expected to attend the festival until Sunday. Endit
