The 11th edition of Stars of African Cultural Integration (SICA) festival will be held in Benin's economic capital, Cotonou, between Sept. 15 to 18, organizers told Xinhua on Tuesday.

"This festival which will bring together several music artists, not just from the African continent, but also from the entire world, aims to promote the upcoming artists by giving them a platform to express themselves and learn more," the festival's promoter Ali Wassi Sissi said.

"Our dream is to see a peaceful Africa, with no wars. We seek to use African cultural integration as a tool for development, and to ensure that Africans can mingle with the people from the rest of the world through art, music, dance and cultural tourism," he added.

Besides artists from about 20 African countries, Sissi said, the 11th SICA edition will also bring to Cotonou African ministers of culture and renown personalities in the world of art.

He said festival goers will equally be entertained with traditional Beninese music under what has been dubbed as "A night of local colours." Enditem
