British FTSE 100 decreases 0.73 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 0.73 percent, or 48.55 points, to 6,645.40 points.

Share price of Direct Line Insurance Group increased by 12.62 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. InterContinental Hotels Group, Admiral Group, Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon increased by 2.99 percent, 2.89 percent, 2.64 percent and 2.56 percent respectively.

Rolls-Royce Holdings led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.92 percent, following by Barclays (3.57 percent), Johnson Matthey (3.30 percent), BHP Billiton (2.69 percent) and easyJet (2.59 percent). Endit
