Xinhua, August 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is here now to act in a movie directed by Hong Kong woman Barbara Wong Chun-chun, local media reported Tuesday.

The former U.S. boxer is making a cameo performance in the comedy action film "Girls 2" produced by well-known Vietnamese actor Tran Bao Son who plays the leading role as a gangster boss, online newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong (Laborers) reported.

Mike Tyson plays character Dragon who helps three beautiful girls from Hong Kong escape the gangster boss.

"Mike Tyson looks cold and fierce, but in fact he is lovely. He is a professional actor," Tran Bao Son said.

The former boxer will stay in Vietnam for one week, but because of tight schedule, he has no time for sightseeing, said the Vietnamese producer and actor.

"Girls 2," which will feature many Hong Kong and Taiwanese actresses, is scheduled to be released during the Christmas in Hong Kong and other Asian markets before Vietnam.

In 2015, Mike Tyson acted as a cameo in the successful Chinese film "Ip Man 3" with character Ip Man played by Donnie Yen. In "Girls 2," he will appear for a longer period of time, Son said. Endit
