Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

Chinese stocks closed higher Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index going up 0.61 percent to close at 2,971.28 points.

The Shenzhen index closed 0.64 percent higher at 10,250.55 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.67 percent to close at 2,113.21 points. Endi
