The following are the news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- The Zambian government said it will construct more toll gates countrywide in order to increase revenue collection.

The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) said plans to open four new toll gates by the end of this year were currently underway in order to maximize revenue collection.

-- The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM) has advised political leaders participating in Zambia's general elections to accept the outcome of the polls.

Head of observer team, Oldemiro Baloi, said political parties should accept the results of the elections to be held on August 11 and that those aggrieved should use the electoral procedure in lodging their complaints.

He said during the launch of the organizations' observer mission that political leaders should lead by example in their electoral behavior. (Daily Nation) Endit
