Chinese vice premier to attend opening ceremony of Olympic Games, visit Mexico

Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong will attend the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Aug. 5 in Brazil as President Xi Jinping's special representative.

Liu will stay in Brazil from Aug. 3 to 6, before paying an official visit to Mexico from Aug. 6 to 10, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced Thursday. Endi
