Urgent: Chinese, African businesses ink 17-bln-USD deals

Businesses and financial institutions from China and Africa signed a total of 39 deals worth around 17 billion U.S. dollars here Thursday.

The deals were clinched on the eve of a meeting regarding the results of last year's Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Endi
