1st LD: Sticky bomb blast wounds policeman in Kabul

A policeman was injuried as a bomb blast hit Khair Khana area on the northern outskirts of Kabul on Thursday, a security official said.

"A magnate bomb attached by terrorists on a police van went off in Kabul Thursday afternoon injuring at least one police personnel and damaged the vehicle," the official told Xinhua on the condition of anonymity, saying authorized officials would brief the media later.

The blast occurred in a market in Lycee Maryam at around 3:00 p.m. local time (1030 GMT).

The Interior Ministry has yet to make comment on the incident. Endit
