Eurozone household real income per capita up in Q1

Seasonally-adjusted household income per capita in the 19-country euro area rose 0.9 percent quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter of 2016, after an increase of 0.3 percent in the previous quarter, the European Union (EU)'s statistics agency Eurostat said Thursday.
Seasonally-adjusted household real consumption per capita in eurozone increased by 0.8 percent in Q1 of 2016, after an increase of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015, Eurostat said.
In the wider 28-country EU bloc, seasonally-adjusted household real income per capita increased by 1.3 percent in Q1 of 2016, following a 0.4 percent increase in the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, EU household real consumption per capita increased by 0.8 percent in Q1 of 2016, while it was stable in Q4 of 2015, Eurostat added.
Household real income per capita is defined as the adjusted gross disposable income of households, in nominal terms, divided by the total population and by the deflator of household final consumption expenditure. Endit
