The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh has hosted a reception to mark the 89th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army of China which falls on Aug. 1.

SYDNEY -- Hollywood ace Jackie Chan is set to star in the most expensive Chinese movie production ever to be filmed in Australia.

HANOI -- Exports of Vietnamese products to China are estimated to increase 13.7 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2016, according to Vietnam's General Statistics Office on Thursday.

Specifically, during the period, Vietnam is expected to ship some 10.7 billion U.S. dollars worth of Vietnamese products to China, the office said in a report on socio-economic situation in the first seven months of 2016 posted on its website on Thursday. (Vietnam-China-Export)

LOME -- Africa, China and the United States on Wednesday started tripartite consultation for peace on the African continent as a prelude for the African Union extraordinary summit on maritime security to be held in October in Lome.
