Spanish stock market adds 1.18 pct, closes at 8,661 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 rose 1.18 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,661.40 points, up from the 8,560.20 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Mapfre shares led rises climbing 5.36 percent, followed by Banco Santander, Bankia, IAG, Banco Popular and Tecnicas Reunidas that rose 4.43 percent, 4.30 percent, 3.81 percent, 2.78 percent and 2.76 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Acerinox shares led falls losing 1.57 percent, followed by DIA, Iberdrola, Grifols, Inditex and Enagas that lost 0.88 percent, 0.29 percent, 0.15 percent, 0.08 percent and 0.04 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 118.50 points rising from the 113.90 points of Wednesday closing time, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.1 percent, showing no big differences in comparison with Wednesday. Endit
