The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- A court has placed a former Zambian minister on her defense after finding her with a case to answer for alleged abuse of authority of office in relation to cancellation of wildlife hunting concessions.

Sylvia Masebo, who is former minister of tourism and arts was charged with abuse of authority of office and cancellation of hunting concession licenses. (ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL)

-- The Zambian government has warned that it will not tolerate the sale of expired products or all those without required information.

Central Province Minister Davies Chisopa said as much as the government encouraged ore business players to come on the market, they had an obligation of ensuring that they provided correct information about their products. (TIMES OF ZAMBIA)

-- The Ministry of Defense has advised politicians in Zambia to desist from dragging military personnel into their political affairs because the security forces have the mandate to protect the territorial interests of the country.

Deputy Minister of Defense Christopher Mulenga said politicians should desist from making careless statements which will impugn on the character of security forces, adding that such statements had a tendency to cause despondency and may cause unwanted uprising in the ranks and file of the defense forces.
