British FTSE 100 rises 0.21 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.21 percent, or 13.90 points, to 6,724.03 points.

Share price of Provident Financial increased by 5.69 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Mondi, GKN, Fresnillo and BHP Billiton increased by 4.29 percent, 3.83 percent, 3.66 percent and 3.25 percent, respectively.

Tesco led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.07 percent, following by Barratt Developments (3.27 percent), Berkeley Group Holdings (3.12 percent), easyJet (2.99 percent), and Taylor Wimpey (2.82 percent). Enditem
