Tibet's first makerspace goes live

Tibet's first makerspace for start-ups went operational on Tuesday.

The makerspace in Lhasa covers an area of 1,050 square meters with more than 100 working seats. Besides offering basic work space and start-up training, it provides services such as business registration, intellectual property rights advice and legal help.

So far, 10 businesses and six teams have settled in. They are among the 48 applications received by the makerspace.

China has been encouraging mass entrepreneurship and innovation since 2014. Endi
