Singapore stocks close 0.12 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 3.59 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 2,933.44.

A total of 1.11 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.03 billion Singapore dollars (757.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 209 to 167, while 531 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 15.50 points, or 0.53 percent, to close at 2,929.85 on Monday. Endit
