Xinhua, July 26, 2016 Adjust font size:

Maintaining good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and its neighboring countries are top priorities for BiH's foreign policy, Bakir Izetbegovic, Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, said here on Monday.

Izetbegovic made the comment during a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Serbia Maja Gojkovic in Sarajevo.

During their meeting, both leaders agreed relations between BiH and the Republic of Serbia were stable and that bilateral cooperation was good and open.

They also agreed that both countries were committed to the development of political relations on the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and outstanding issues should be resolved in a constructive dialogue, within future bilateral activities, at the political and expert level.

Both sides said they saw the overall relations between BiH and Serbia as extremely important for the overall positive atmosphere in the region and positioning the region as a safe place for foreign investments. Endit
