Jiangsu Suning crush Henan Jianye 4-1 in CSL

New arrivals Hong Jeong-Ho and Roger Martinez scored to help Jiangsu Suning crush Henan Jianye 4-1 in the 19th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Sunday.

Neither side broke the deadlock and few chances were created in the first half. Alex Teixeira made an opener for Jiangsu in the 50th minute, and Hong Jeong-Ho extended their lead with a header in the 62nd minute. Six minutes later, Martinez won a penalty and he put it in to make it 3-0.

Jiangsu sealed the victory in the 76th minute as Ji Xiang found the net with a volley inside the box. Zhong Jinbao pulled a consolation goal back for Henan.

After this round, Jiangsu Suning consolidated the second place in the league table, and they are 10 points away from the CSL leader Guangzhou Evergrande. Endit
