Xinhua, July 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to protest the arrest of a Russian citizen in Thailand, when he meets U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry next week, it is reported Saturday.

Thai Tourist Police announced on Thursday that in collaboration with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, a Russian man and an Uzbek woman have been arrested in Thailand.

They are accused of stealing more than 28.5 million U.S. dollars by planting malware on the victims' computers and depleting bank accounts in the United States and other countries.

Lavrov and Kerry will meet on Tuesday in Vientiane, Laos, on the sidelines of an Association of Southeast Asian Nations forum, the RIA Novosti news agency quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying. Endi
