Spanish stock market rises 0.19 pct, closes at 8,599 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.19 percent on Friday to close at 8,599.90 points, up from the 8,583.60 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 0.8 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium going from the 125.80 points of Monday to the 114.60 points of Friday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate falling to 1.1 percent on Friday from the 1.2 percent of five days ago.

On Friday session, Bankia shares led rises climbing 3.08 percent, followed by Telefonica, Gamesa, ArcelorMittal, Acciona and Grifols that rose 1.75 percent, 1.46 percent, 1.23 percent, 1.21 percent and 1.12 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Banco Sabadell shares led falls losing 7.47 percent, followed by ACS, Banco Popular, Caixabank, Tecnicas Reunidas and Acerinox that lost 1.95 percent, 1.69 percent, 1.65 percent, 1.45 percent and 1.32 percent respectively. Endit
