Shijiazhuang Ever Bright edge Shanghai Shenhua 2-1 in Chinese Super League

Shijiazhuang Ever Bright secured a come-from-behind home win over Shanghai Shenhua in the 18th round of the Chinese Super League here on Thursday.

Former Inter Milan striker Obafemi Martins scored an early goal for Shanghai in the 17th minute.

Shijiazhuang could not stand another defeat in the league, as they are trying hard to get out of the relegation zone in the league table.

In the 55th minute, Mao Jianqing made an equalizer for the home team to get back in the game. Twenty minutes later, South Korean international Cho Yong-Hyung helped Shijiazhuang complete the comeback with a powerful header.

With the hard-earned three points, Shijiazhuang Ever Bright narrowed the gap to 1 point from Hangzhou Greentown to get out of the relegation zone. Enditem
