Spanish stock market rises 0.72 pct, closes at 8,545 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.72 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,545.90 points, up from the 8,485.20 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 3.72 percent, followed by Bankia, Gamesa, Amadeus, Bankinter and Mediaset that rose 3.65 percent, 2.34 percent, 1.84 percent, 1.80 percent and 1.75 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ACS shares led falls losing 2.02 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Acerinox, Tecnicas Reunidas, Repsol and Ferrovial that lost 1.81 percent, 1.37 percent, 1.06 percent, 0.93 percent and 0.77 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 116.80 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.16 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Endit
