Xinhua, July 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Unemployment is the biggest problem for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), said Jan Zlatan Kulenovic, director of social agency Munja in BiH here on Wednesday.

During an interview with the Federal News Agency, Kulenovic cited the main reasons causing this phenomenon are outdated education system and poor methodology that does not give good results and it is unable to train young people for the labor market.

He also pointed out that the inactivity of young people, and their lack of participation in terms of association in youth organizations are major problems.

Munja has established an information body targeting young people with specific knowledge, skills and competencies to help them find a job.

According to Kulenovic, more than 65,000 young people from all areas in BiH participated in the programs of the agency in the last 15 years and that the main function of the agency is informing young people, as well as to motivate and activate young people to find work.

According to the data from the BiH Agency for Statistics, BiH's registered unemployment rate in May 2016 was 41.01 percent. Endit
