International marathon to be held along Yellow River in September

The 5th International Marathon of Ningxia (Wuzhong) Yellow River Coast will start on Sept. 3 in Wuzhong, organizers said on Tuesday.

The competition comprises a full marathon, a half marathon, and a 5-km marathon,

said Ma Zhongyong, vice mayor of Wuzhong city.

"The Runners will be able to enjoy a wonderful view along the Yellow River," Ma added.

Winner of the full marathon will pick up a cash prize of 20,000 US dollars and the total prize of the competition reaches 134,525 dollars.

The organizers expect the marathon to attract 30,000 runners. Endit
