Xinhua, July 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Germany tightened controls in borders with France after a terrorism attack killed at least 84 people in French city of Nice, German police said on Friday.

The German Federal Police said in a statement that border checks were increased at airports, as well as land and railway crossings with France.

The additional measures were taken "in coordination with the French security authorities", the police said.

At least 84 people were killed on Thursday night when a truck smashed into a crowd in Nice during celebrations of the French national day. Around 48 people of the injured were in critical condition, the French authorities said. Endit
