Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen on Friday condemned the truck attack in the French town of Nice that killed at least 84 people and injured many others.

"The Nice attack is an attack on us all. An attack on democracy and human rights," the prime minister tweeted.

He added that "Denmark is with France and the victims' families in the sorrow."

On the same day, Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen also expressed his condolences to the victims and called for a closer cooperation to fight against terrorism.

"I hope that we after the attack can work even closer together to fight against the people who are ready to do this. Denmark is ready to do everything possible to stop terrorism," Jensen said.

No Danish casualties have been reported so far, and the Danish authorities are monitoring the situation in Nice closely.
