Singapore stocks close 0.63 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 18.43 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 2,925.35.

A total of 2.22 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.40 billion Singapore dollars (248.3 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 238 to 200, while 466 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 3.73 points, or 0.13 percent, to close at 2,906.92 on Thursday. Enditem
