Spanish stock market rises 0.93 percent, closes at 8,552 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 rose 0.93 percent on Thursday to close at 8,552.30 points, up from the 8,473.90 points of Wednesday.

IAG shares led rises climbing 5 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Banco Santander, Mapfre, BBVA and Banco Sabadell that rose 3.03 percent, 2.69 percent, 2.28 percent, 2.22 percent and 2.09 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Grifols shares led falls losing 0.85 percent, followed by Ferrovial, Merlin, Abertis A, Viscofan and Banco Popular that lost 0.80 percent, 0.60 percent, 0.51 percent, 0.28 percent and 0.24 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 121.70 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.18 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Wednesday. Endit
