BiH committed to European integration: official

Xinhua, July 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

All leaders and all parties are committed to supporting the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Zvizdic, BiH Chairman of Council of Ministers, said here on Wednesday.

"Our commitment is not only words, but concretely, regardless of the severity of the process BiH is facing," he said.

Zvizdic made this comment during a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Germany Christian Schmidt in Sarajevo.

During their meeting, both leaders agreed that further progress of BiH towards European integration should be encouraged, regardless of the difficulties.

They also agreed that in the forthcoming period it is necessary to find mechanisms to help farmers and producers in BiH and increase the level of competitiveness and quality of their products.

Schmidt's visit aimed to establish concrete ways in which Germany can provide help to the economy of BiH. The goal is for the nation to become better prepared to cope with competition within the European Union after the adaptation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement. Endit
