Bahrain arrests suspects with links to roadside bombing incident

Xinhua, July 13, 2016 Adjust font size:

Bahraini authority said on Tuesday it had arrested several suspects in connection with a roadside bombing in which a woman was killed last month.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement the suspects were trained by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps who planned and executed the terrorist blast on June 30 in Eker village.

It said the blast caused the death of a Bahraini woman who was driving on the opposite side of the road toward Sitra.

Three of her children who were with her in the car were injured.

The ministry also released names and pictures of the suspects, stating that at least two of the suspects received military training from Iran on the manufacture and use of weapons and explosives. Endit
