Albania, Macedonia sign agreement on recognition of pension rights

Albanian Minister of Social Welfare and Youth Blendi Klosi and his Macedonian counterpart Dime Spasov signed an agreement on the recognition of pension rights on Monday, which will benefit Albanian citizens who live and work in Macedonia and Macedonian businessmen based in Albania.

The accord came at an meeting between the two officials.

Klosi stressed that there are hundreds of Albanians working in Macedonia while dozens of Macedonian entrepreneurs have opened their companies in Albania. The agreement is going to pave the way for further developments and exchanges in joint labor market.

Spasov also highlighted the importance of the agreement and said that it will help strengthen the communication and cooperation for the creation of a regional labor market.

In addition, both ministers agreed to boost cooperation in the sector of vocational education. They also discussed seasonal employment for citizens of both countries. Endit
