Urgent: Iran's lawmaker survives assassination attempt

The Iranian senior lawmaker, Heshmatollah Falahat Pisheh, survived an assassination attempt on Sunday, state IRIB TV reported.

The armed men opened fire at the car carrying the parliament member in the Rijab region bordering Iraq, but he narrowly escaped the assassination attempt, the report said. Endit
