British FTSE 100 decreases 1.25 pct on Wednesday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 1.25 percent, or 81.78 points, to 6,463.59 points on Wednesday.

Share price of Fresnillo increased by 6.08 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Randgold Resources, Whitbread, Glencore, and Shire increased by 4.35 percent, 1.38 percent, 1.14 percent and 0.99 percent respectively.

Tesco led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 8.05 percent, following by Wm Morrison Supermarkets (7.21 percent), Lloyds Banking Group (6.80 percent), International Consolidated Airlines Group (6.61 percent) and Aviva (6.15 percent). Endit
