2nd LD: German airport gives all-clear after evacuation

Xinhua, July 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

The airport in the western German city of Kassel has given an all-clear signal after an airplane was evacuated on Tuesday.

The aircraft as well as a luggage were checked intensively, but no dangerous object was found, according to a spokeswoman for the airport.

Following an anonymous tip-off about a bomb on board, an airplane in Kassel was evacuated shortly before its departure to Turkey, German media Focus Online reported earlier Tuesday.

Local police was quoted as saying that a man called the airport saying a luggage that may present a risk was on an airplane in the departure area.

The aircraft with 128 passengers on board has continued its journey towards Antalya, Turkey. Endite
