Morocco reaffirms support for Iraq in fight against terrorism

Xinhua, July 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Morocco on Tuesday strongly condemned a deadly suicide bomb attack in Baghdad, reaffirming its support for Iraq's war on terrorism.

A suicide truck bomb ripped through a busy shopping district in Baghdad's Karrada neighbourhood on Sunday, killing at least 165 people.

Morocco denounces and condemns this despicable carnage that reflects a barbarous mentality and runs counter all human and ethical values, a statement from the Moroccan Foreign Ministry said.

The Kingdom of Morocco offers its condolences to the Iraqi government and the families of the victims and wishes speedy recovery to those injured in the attack, it added.

It reaffirmed Morocco's support for Iraq to confront terrorist acts that aim to undermine its unity, security and sovereignty. Endit
