130 people affected by flood in Myanmar's western state

About 130 people from three villages in Myanmar's western Rakhine state have been affected by flood, triggered by heavy rainfall over the past three days, said the Ministry of Information on Tuesday.
The flood victims from Myauk U township located near the Ranchaung River were evacuated to neighboring villages.
Meteorology expert warned that there will be continuous flooding and landslide in the country's six regions and states including the Rakhine state.
Last month, heavy rainfall in the Rakhine state killed 12 people, according to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
Many parts of Myanmar have been facing flood disaster due to heavy rain which started on June 9.
Earlier from April to May, strong wind across the country has claimed 39 lives.
The flood which Myanmar experienced this year is estimated to be worse than last year. Enditem
